Playing Soccer with the rules

The rules of soccer are not that tough. Only the goalie is allowed to touch the ball with arms and hands. Other players cannot touch the ball intentionally.

Number of players

The rules of soccer as decided by the Upper Dublin Soccer Club says, there should be only 11 players on the field from both teams, and no more is allowed than this. And the minimum number of players allowed is 7. In many of the youth soccer leagues, there can be a minimum number of players on the field. From both the teams, one person plays as a goalkeeper. Jersey won’t by the goalkeeper be in a different color than the other players so that people can easily identify the goalie on the field. The goalie is allowed to use only one hand in the penalty area. This rule is to make you aware of the number of players and the color of the jersey worn by them. 

Kick-off

According to the rules of the Upper Dublin Soccer Club, the kick-off in the game is made to start the game or to restart the game after the goal or second half. At the time of Kick off, all the players should be on their side of the field. The ball is placed in the center between the two halves of the field. The two opposing teams start kicking the ball and then fight with each other to make a goal. Both teams aim to score maximum goals. In the end, the team with the highest score wins the match.

A yellow card is given if the foul made by the team is severe. And also after two yellow cards, they give red cards which means the player has to leave the ground. Also, they get suspended for the next match. There are a lot of rules and penalties in the game of Soccer. The Soccer penalties result in gain or loss of yards. It completely depends on whether the penalty is against the offense or the defense. Usually, the penalties are 5 to 10  yards, but in the case of a personal foul, it can be up to 15 yards. 

Scoring

If the team wants to score a goal then your ball should go to the opponent’s goal. The team is allowed to score a goal using any part of the body except the hand, arms, or shoulder. 

Winning the game

The more scoring team won the match. Both the opponents try to stop each other from scoring a goal. After 90 minutes the team with the maximum score wins the match. After 90 minutes if the game ends and the game gets drawn then both the teams get penalty shootout time to decide the winner of the match. Only the goalkeepers are allowed to touch the ball by using any part of the body. The goalkeeper stands in the 18-yard area near the goal post.
